Spring has sprung in Aotearoa-New Zealand!

te Pā 2021 Sauvignon Blanc (New Release)

Our newly release 2021 te Pa Sauvignon Blanc is beautifully perfumed with notes of grapefruit, guava, jasmine, and nettles. The palate is concentrated and precise, with lime and Nashi pear flavours complimented by subtle hints of dried herb and passionfruit. This wine possesses crisp refreshing acidity and a unique mineral saline finish. Shop now.

Food Match: For spring, this wine is going to be perfect with fresh, new season asparagus. We're dreaming of lightly steamed asparagus with a dash of lemon juice as a healthy side dish, or quickly charred in the pan or on the BBQ - you could even wrap it in delicate, thin slices of salty prosciutto for a special occasion.

For a more substantial spring dish, we love quick and easy asparagus pasta. Simply steam your asparagus, and cut off and reserve the tips for later. Blend the asparagus stalks, slowly adding parmesan cheese, olive oil, a drop of cream and crushed garlic, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir back through spaghetti pasta cooked to al dente, and top with your reserved asparagus tips and a grating of parmesan. Serve with chilled te Pa Sauvignon Blanc, a side salad, and enjoy.

te Pā 2020 Pinot Noir (New Release)

Tasting note: The te Pa 2020 Pinot Noir is intensely perfumed, dense, and ripe with dark brooding fruit. It possesses complex aromatics, with dark ripe fruits, savoury earthy notes, perfumed florals, and oak spice. The palate is multi-dimensional – fleshy, dark fruit flavours and a vein of Christmas cake spice marry with a bright acidity and feathered tannins to create a robust, yet elegant wine full of intrigue. This wine will age gracefully for years to come. Shop online here.

Food match: We can’t wait to pair this beautiful young Pinot Noir with some fragrant Spring lamb. A versatile, and delicate meat, with earthy, savoury notes, lamb balances the bright acidity and red fruited Pinot Noir perfectly.

Try Origin South for a gorgeous single origin South Island lamb.

te Pā 2020 Riesling (New Release)

Tasting note: The new vintage Riesling is bright and zingy - just like a fresh Spring morning! Made in a dry to off dry style, it possesses a lovely bouquet of citrus blossom, mandarin peel, honeysuckle, and ginger. The palate has lemon, melon, and green apple flavours with a touch of spice, a hint of sweetness, a waxy texture, and a crisp drying finish. Shop online here.

Food match: This refreshing Riesling is a perfect Spring time match with oysters or kina. The natural brininess of kina and oysters would be perfectly foiled by the lush, explosive, aromatic flavours of our new release Riesling.
